Letters of Illegibility:  [___]

A collection of hand embroidered letters creating indents and embossments that press the characters into the plush surface.

An exploration of  illegibility, through language barrier, difficulty in the viewing experience, or mistranslation of memory.

An embodiments as to how embossments function as imprints—marks of pressure that linger even as legibility fades, echoing the way memory becomes indented into the self.
